Under the theme ‘Towards Education 2.0’, the II International Congress - ICT and Education – ticEduca 2012 – aims to promote de importance of reflecting and thinking strategically with regard to the contributions of technology to the development of education with a prospective vision for social development.

The Institute of Education was created as a new unit of the University of Lisbon for the further development of research in the field of education, the promotion and improvement of initial and in-service training for teachers, and the active intervention on the issues concerning education and training in Portugal.

The II International Congress - ICT and Education will be held at the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon, which is located in the building of the former Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences (Alameda da Universidade, 1649-013 Lisboa, Portugal).
