The organizing committee of ticEDUCA 2012 invites all those interested to submit proposals to the II International Congress on ICT and Education, which this year falls under the topic ‘Towards education 2.0’. The conference will take place in Lisbon, Portugal, at the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon, from November 30th to December 2nd 2012.
At least one author of each proposal must register as a participant in ticEDUCA 2012.
Types of papers
Four different types of papers may be submitted:
Paper: Paper: oral presentation of completed research and development studies, on one of the themes of the Congress. These papers have a maximum limit of 5000 words and 15 minutes of presentation, with 10 minutes of additional discussion. These presentations will be organized in 90 minute long sessions.
Short paper: oral presentation of studies in progress with relevant preliminary empirical or theoretical results. These papers have a maximum limit of 3000 words and 10 minutes of presentation, with 5 minutes of additional discussion. These presentations will be organized in 60 minute long sessions.
Poster: Poster: presentation of any type of study in the form of a poster (exhibited in a specific area of the Congress) with informal discussion and in 30 minute long sessions. Posters have a maximum limit of 1500 words.
Symposium: organization and presentation of a collection of papers and/or short papers related to each other on one of the topics of the Congress. The duration may vary between 60 and 90 minutes.
Rules for paper submissions
All papers and short papers will be analyzed by two individuals of the Scientific Committee.
All proposals must be submitted online through the Congress’s website. Papers, short papers and posters must be formatted according to the Style Guide.
Symposium proposals must include a summary of the symposium.
Authors of accepted papers must send the final version of their work for publication incorporating recommendations by the Scientific Committee).
All papers must be original work, and must not be under review for any other conference or publication (national nor international).
The papers must be formatted according to the Style Guide of the Congress Style Guide, and must be submitted in an editable format (.doc, .docx). They may be written in Portuguese, Spanish or English. All papers are submitted online. Click on SUBMIT to login as an author.

Proposals of completed research and development studies for online presentation are also accepted, on one of the themes of the Congress. These papers have a maximum limit of 3000 words. The author will receive together with the acceptance notification a date for the online recording of their presentation. In order for the presentation to be included in the Congress’ proceedings, the online presentation must be recorded at that specific date.
Papers accepted by the Scientific Committee will be published in the event’s proceedings (in digital format, with ISBN), provided that at least one of the authors is registered in the congress, and the paper is formatted according to the Style Guide, not exceeding the word limits.
